As I latch on it, I see tangible culture (architecture, physical objects -- tools, weapons, utensils, etc.), intangible culture (myths, folklore, rituals, language), and natural inheritans (from landscapes to biodiversity). You can appreciate it better than me that each of this is much more than leraning from the past to look into the future. The presence of each has a significance in any given moment as part of a continuum.
