Every country runs several welfare programs and schemes still it is seen in large number of countries the poverty is not getting reduced but instead rising . The gap between rich and poor is widening and wealth is getting concentrated. The politicians prime interest seems to be not service of society and welfare but regaining and remaining in power and for which lot of money and muscle is needed. The perquisites given to politicians and bureaucrats are several times more than the per capita income of citizens. There are fundamental structural defects in management of primary economic activities like agriculture and distribution of agriculture products. It seems theories of economics does not work on ground and look good in books. It is need of time to fundamentally alter the political and economic systems in countries and on global level. There are too many association, institutions and welfare organizations who conduct only meeting with little results on grounds. There looks to be strong nexus between capitalist politicians and bureaucrats. Can we identify some basic strategies to ameliorate the situation. The existing social and political systems are failures. A cursory look at various conflicts going on in several country points to possible sponsoring of terrorism and unrest by this powerful political capitalist nexus. After all who is beneficiary of so called religious terrorism and violence ?
One of the reasons in my many years observation is because not having solved the primary, first problems, the economists and politicians "jump" in a hurry on the secondary problems. Consistency and gradualism are necessary for solutions.
Modern economies run by States are like a booster pump. More it runs ,more it sucks wealth form lower level of society ,the consumers by way of price exploitation, artificial consumption needs generation and taxes paid by the people .This wealth is transferred to 10% top placed citizens comprising of wealthy big businessmen , politicians, criminals and bureaucrats. The same wat natural resources and wealth of rural areas are shifted to urban centers and meghalop9olies while these rural people continue to suffer deficiency. The trickle down theory is total failure. This was stated by US president himself. Hardly 2-% comes down form top which is sucked back by inflation in prices and rising taxes. Rise in population reduced per capita income of this bottom 1/3rd population. Enough job opportunities are not available. Corrupt , greedy and criminals unite together and exploit both system and people. Modern vote based democracy is also one cause of corruption and economic divide between 10$ top and remaining . Economics is good in books like verses in bible. These are not workable and practical in real world. Like you never find perfect competition. Even large number of retailers in same items form cartel and daily market rates are decided by association or a price leader. Hence consumer is consistently exploited.
