Why don't we use noble metal catalysts in oxidative coupling of methane (OCM)?

Typically Li/MgO, Sr/La2O3, Na/W/Mn/SiO2, et.al. are used in oxidative coupling of methane (OCM). However, their ability of methane activation are not as good as noble metals. I want to know if anyone have a try adding noble metals. If not, why? (I know noble metals are uauslly used in methane oxidation)

I confirm a noble metal (Pt) is not the solution. The problem is first to extract hydrogen by the reaction CH4 + M = CH3. + H. and after to have a conversion of CH3. without going to complete oxidation. OK, a noble metal is going to help this reaction but also it is going to a complete oxidation consuming oxygen (dissociation of O2) and letting a major part of CH4 unconverted.
