TBARS is an oxidative stress marker used for screening and monitoring lipid peroxidation. Why does the reaction of MDA and TBA need high temperature and acidic conditions?
because the reaction need a source of H+ (the acidic condition) and the formation of TBARS in high temperature from 2 molecules of TBA and MDA.
