Why does sample slipping happen in SLM As-printed Ti-64?

Hello all,

I have decided to conduct tensile testing on SLM as-printed Ti-64. However, the sample appears to slip and give incorrect graph plot. Please do suggest some remedies to avoid slipping in the grip region.

Increase clamp pressure (carefully) or use wedge grips that self-tighten under load. Ensure jaw faces are parallel and specimen aligned.
