Also, i want to add that mTORc1 needs the activation of two small GTPases: RHEB (which is activated by PI3K and AKT pathway) and RAG proteins (which are activated when the cytoplasmatic levels of free aminoacids are high). The first one is located in the external lysosomal membrane and it is recognized by the mTORc1 subunit RAPTOR. This interaction determines the lysosomal location of mTORc1.

Thanks to the both of you. Because I red that atrophy was linked with certain aspects in a lysozome, I was thinking if mTORc1 might have an impact on that functioning of a lysozome. That is goes there to alter certain aspect or pathways. That was why I was wondering why mTORc1 would go to a lysozome. So I am aware of RHEB and RAG, but was just questioning why it went specific there, and more specific in case of muscle growht or hypertropy. Especially as a lysozome seems to have negative effects on muscle growth.
