It is reported that quasi one dimensional materials have low power consumption. I think that due to the small size of quasi 1-D materials, large no. of samples can be grown on a single chip. Therefore, large no. of samples can be driven by the same power as it would be driven by one sample on a single chip, so they might have low power consumption. I want to know whether i am thinking in a right way or not?
A "1D" "device" is infinitesimally small, resulting in virtually no resistance and capacitance. So much about theory.
BUT: Maybe you'd consider some 14 nm MOSFET a 1D device. While the individual MOSFET has little power consumption, the integration of billions of these ends up with 2-digit power figures.
If you have doubts: that's what our current PC CPUs are made of. Drawing massive currents at very low voltages.
I'm not sure what you want to achieve, but the above is the reality. If you can "daisy-chain" the individual devices, you may end up with high voltages that are not compatible with the minute dimensions. If you parallel them, you'll end up with the same high currents at very low voltages as described above.
I think that quasi-one dimensional materials can operate with very small current flows - perhaps one electron being in a register at a time, so that the power consumption per bit or per gate switch is very low. This means that they can be packed closer together, because they are small and because they don't get so hot. This makes the chips smaller and permits higher frequency operation, although higher frequency operation means more switching per second so increases the power per gate, trading off some of the lower power for speed.

But Sir, resistance of one dimensional material should be greater than that of their corresponding 2-D and 3-D counterparts. Because, R = resistivity (l/A), and for 1-D, area term there would become unity, and resistance would become large as compare to 2-D and 3-D, so the operating current through 1-D should be small.
You need to read scientific articles on 1 D materials. I think you may find that the usual resistance mechanism does not apply in 1D materials so that losses are not as high as you suggest. Band structure and electron movement is very different when one or two dimensions are removed from the equations.
