20 years ago I came to grips with quantum mechanics and Schrodinger’s wave equation through what I thought were fairly unconventional means. Whenever I talked or wrote about this I was treated like some kind of heretic/weirdo. So I eventually gave up, kept quiet, and worked on other things. Within my own skin however, I felt at ease and comfortable working with quantum mechanics (to solve problems in chemical and solid-state physics), while people around me seemed to be happier being baffled – almost as if they relished the strangeness of it all.

Research Why do people find the idea of interpreting quantum mechanic...
I always thought this has something to do with how one is brought up. Not everything about classical mechanics is so intuitive anyways, knowing how many years the whole humankind got it wrong. And these days quantum mechanics are always taught in class after very through study of classical mechanics. That just feed the feeling of alienness. Therefore I think the notion of QM should be the among the first things a kid get exposed to about physics at a young age. Its the right theory, its interesting, and a lot of it really isn't necessarily that hard to deal with.
