This post is about the necessary antecedents of the complex emotion of awe.

Induction of the emotion of awe is done by something BIG. An unexpected quantity of something: The juiciness of the brownie you're having, the cuteness of a piglet, the beauty of Vanessa Hudgens, the soft velvetiness you feel when wearing sneakers for the first time in your life after a lifetime of chucks. So beauty, velvetiness etc: These are all really really vaste within perception.. Perceived vastness, in other words, of the stimulus that induced awe, is high.

But why then, taking my own phenomenology as a basis, do I get goosebumps (a manifestation of awe ) at this gentle drop of this famous song? Where is the size? And what instead could have induced awe about it? I am assuming other people experience similar moments). Does anyone know?

I am basing this all on
