This is what I got when I searched for SMN1 (survival of motor neuron 1) gene:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/6606

However, when I downloaded the sequence data, I found there are 5 gene sequences:

>NC_000005.10:70924941-70966375 SMN1 [organism=Homo sapiens] [GeneID=6606] [chromosome=5]

>NW_025791777.1:c1557047-1515739 SMN1 [organism=Homo sapiens] [GeneID=6606] [chromosome=5]

>NW_003315917.2:c485846-439160 SMN1 [organism=Homo sapiens] [GeneID=6606] [chromosome=5]

>NT_187651.1:473376-520059 SMN1 [organism=Homo sapiens] [GeneID=6606] [chromosome=5]

>NC_060929.1:71381729-71423141 SMN1 [organism=Homo sapiens] [GeneID=6606] [chromosome=5]

It is very confusing because I just want a single gene sequence that is the most common one and use it in my research. Is there anyway to just select one?
