Why cotton pickers are not used in India, even need is there?

If cotton pickers are used than time and labour is saved and we will good clean cotton.

There are two main reasons not to use the cotton picker in India. Firstly ripening of cotton balls at a time so that picking can be done. Secondly costly operation and it will take time when custom hiring of cotton picking is there similar to use of combine harvester for wheat harvesting.
