Foot & Mouth Disease Control Programme was launched with great promise more than a decade ago. But where is control, disease has haunted several time during the period even the herds at the most renowned Veterinary Institutions.
Brucella control programme is launched with similar promise but where are the examples of control or eradication of disease? Disease is in hyper-endemic state even in the herds of the most renowned Veterinary Institutions despite of the use of the same vaccine for more than two decades which is going to be used in the programme.
PPR control programme is there but with same fate, the disease has not yet been controlled even on the farms of the Institutes which have have developed the vaccine to control it a decade ago.
Swine fever is another example; it is not good to comment on it.
The question is: Whom for our planners are working?
For their own pockets
Or
For vaccine producers and suppliers.
Or
Bluffing the farmers
Or
For bluffing the Nation
Or
For keeping poors, poor forever.
