When dealing with multivariate analyses in ecology, who said this sentence: "Let the data tell their story"? Or something similar, like "Let the data speak for themselves".
I've found something like this in an R book... but I think some of those "popes" of multivariate analyses also said it.

"Let the data speak for themselves" is a very common term while any empirical model has been used. It also popular to estimate any constant or coefficient value of a model from experimental data. For example, activation energy of Arrhenius model or exponent value of a power law model often estimated from the experimental data itself and says "Let the data speak for themselves".
