Many thanks for your suggestions. I´ll check those links and google about Mato Lovrak. I love "Corazón" (spanish edition of "Heart"). In fact, the spanish "Institución Libre de Enseñanza" (ILE), with Giner de los Ríos and Cossío leading it, had this book in great consideration (use it in the famous "Misiones Pedagógicas").
To my mind come other lives and books: Janusz Korckzak ("si volviera a ser niño", I´m not sure of its title in english), Michel Barlow (Diary of a Novel Teacher), Lorenzo Milani and his pupils of the Barbiana school, Tagore (My school), Daniel Pennac (Mal de escuela), María Sánchez Arbós (Mi diario)...
There are also some novels that bring us interesting ideas as, for example, the work of P. Roth (The dying animal, The professor of desire...), Dolores Medio (Diario de una maestra), Esteve (El árbol del bien y del mal), Eslava Galán (Escuelas y prisiones de Vicentito González) and so forth.
As you can see, I´m more aware of the spanish context and I´ll love to hear about other countries. If the stories/lives/experiences are real, even better!
