Government education is brainwash, everywhere! Just take a course on history in different countries. I am in favor of private education, entrepreneurship and free research. Basic skills should be a public task, afterwards free learning is the way to human faculty development.
Some on the private schools are providing one of the best education and their number and quality is expected to increase with time. Top universities globally (like Harvard or Stanford) are private institution .
In Nigeria, it depends on different factors: based on cost and in terms of competent hands (qualitative and quantitative) in academics and non-academics, public schools are better of. In terms of course duration and discipline of staff and students, private schools will carry the day. However, the quality of education in both school maybe difficult to award to any group as it depends on individual school, student and sometimes individual program.
It depends on the systems put in place in the private and government educational institutions in every country. Its a big debate in my country. In Ghana, at the elementary school level, private schools are more rigorous in their systems than government schools due to the poor monitoring systems to regulate the activities of teachers in a perpetual manner.
The situation is entirely different in high schools and tertiary institutions. The public institutions rather perform better than the private institutions. It warrants a study which my team would consider in our future projects in education.
Thanks for the valuable question that triggers research. Kind regards
We are j6yt tryong to publish an article that compares private and public higher education in Croatia. If you look at matwrisl resources they are much better in private, but teaching staff, especially concerning reyearch is still better in public ones.

In India schooling education is comparatively good in private than the government schools, but professional institutes (engineering, medical, law..) are far far better than the private institutes.
Govt. education is not flexible. It treats all students same & do not emphasize or care about the passion of students. On the other hand passion, innovative idea, research, project etc. are very much appreciated & encouraged in private education. I think, Govt. education want to produce loyal employees for the capitalists.
Although state universities are more preferable, I think this issue is related to the quality of the universities. In my opinion following criteria may be taken into consideration in preference; academic staff, physical facilities, laboratories, employment status of graduates, internship opportunities, international relations of the university...
The main difference between Government School and Private School stems from their funding and administration. As the names imply, government schools are administered and funded by the local, state or national government whereas private schools are funded wholly or partly by student tuition and administered by a private body. Private Schools are independent to a large extent from the interference of the government. Based on these two major differences, other significant differences can be noticed between government schools and private schools.
