Hello,

I need your opinon about pest which is causing damage on apple fruit. It is usually a hole with the cavity underneath. There are no excrements nor on fruit surface close the hole neither in the cavity. This particular orchard was treated by mating disruption and several times treated by CpGV. Me and my colleagues have theory that damage was caused by Cydia pomonella. Caterppillars were infected by CpGV but they were still able to caused some damage. On the other hand I´m not 100% sure about this theory. There were no signs of such damage in July. So it was caused in August. There is also a gradient of damage % with direction from nearby organic vineyard. Usually there are more such holes in one fruit.

Does somebody have idea which pest could possilby cause this damage?

Thank you.
