Several articles attest to 3 methods: 1) physical disruption of the eggs (5 boil/freeze cycles) in water2) method by Iniguez AM et al and 3) boil/freeze cycles followed by using QIAmp DNA stool mini kit Qiagen. The first 2 are highly recommended

Anyway, in the past i have got positive amplification of cox1 after extracting dna from a single egg that i have isolated using a glass tip

Hi,

1)How do you  extract dna from a single egg? I mean, how do you isolate that single egg and what protocol do you use for extraction?

2)  PCR preceded by isolation of DNA from tissues? Can you tell me how?
