This tooth came from a Kimmeridgian locality in Northern Germany, yielding marine sediments. There is also a macroscopic and microscopic content of terrestrial taxa from this locality.
We are confused about the two-cusped shape and the very distincted facet of attritive wear.
Could it be a fish tooth? Similar mammal teeth are unknown until now.
Interesting specimen. It somewhat resembles the bicuspid tooth of Doleserpeton annectens, but the resemblance is superficial considering the basal expansion of your tooth. See: Bolt, J. R. 1980. I'm not entirely sure from seeing only photos, but from the translucent "crown" I think its an actinopterygian teeth, may be a pycnodontiform by their morphology. In the Cretaceous pycnodontiform tooth wit similar morphology are common, nevertheless I don't know in the Jurassic. Sylvie Wenz may confirm (or not ) this.

you see, there are many opinions. I coincide with Enrique Bernárdez in that for a mammal, it is a bit strange. The best specialist in Mesozoic fishes I know is Jurgen Kriwet (RG).
In mammals you may consult Ensom, Sigogneu-Russell, Cifelli, Luo (the majority of them are in RG.
If it is a mammal (with the photos I am not sure) it could see the Jurassic mammal of Freeman (Cyrtlatherium) or the docodont types.
Have you consulted the book of Mesozoic Mammals by Kielan-Jaworowska. Cifelli and Luo 2004?

I agree with Enrique Bernárdez. Especially when viewed from the underside, it does resemble the tooth of a pycnodotiform fish.
I think the specimen belongs to Mesozoic (Jurassic) mammals but not sure. please consult Prof. GVP Prasad, Delhi University, India
