Hi everyone. I'm in a big confusing dilema. I have the idea to develop a differential hosts set for downy mildew races identification in quinoa. However, there's no information (or at least i couldn't find it) about P. variabilis races neither quinoa major resistence genes in commercial varieties. So i start searching for differential hosts development in another crops. I just could find the applications of already existing sets to pathogen races already identified, for example, for spinach, tomato, cucumber, coffea, etc. So, I'd like to know, What's the first step to study the genetic interaction of a poorly studied pathogen in a poorly study crop, the identification of pathogen races or resistence varieties? Do you know examples of another crops? Thanks, excuse me for my bad english and happy holidays!
