We are putting together a workshop at ACM SIGSPATIAL, "Geoadvertising meets Geosocial", the first of its kind. The goal of this workshop is to bring together people from across the research community and from industry, to discuss various aspects of geoadvertising and the use of geosocial data (e.g., Facebook, Twitter), to deliver content to people in a targeted yet responsible way. This is an area that is of great interest to many organizations and companies, including companies whose business is related to smartphones, social networking or location-based services.

To this end, we would appreciate your help in distributing the Call-for-Papers (CFP) to potential authors. We will also be delighted to receive your submissions. The submission deadline is at the end of August. Submissions will be subjected to a full peer review and accepted papers will appear in the ACM digital library.

Not many research papers have been published so far in the area of Geoadvertising, so this is an opportunity to make an impact in an area that receives a lot of attention from industry.
