There's no magic bullet. There's unlikely to be any single source of power in the future. Instead, the energy of the future will need to be generated by a mix of renewable sources: wind, solar, geothermal, hydro, biomass. Nuclear power (fission and fusion) will probably play a role in generating the electricity of tomorrow.
In my opinion, we should develop and depending to clean energy like solar energy, wind energy, water energy ... etc.,

Sometimes solar energy will be the first energy in areas with high solar radiation, while wind energy will be the best in places with high wind speed, while marine energy will be the best in coastal areas and Areas near the sea and so on

Renewable energy is making enormous progress in India, but it is driven more by targets, governmental support and economics than a consumer push.
Energy of the future will need to be generated by: solar energy, wind energy, biomass and small hydro energy.
Some solar energy and nuclear energy compliment each other when the solar is not remote but local to the load such as in the Tesla concept where there is already an EV and battery for the controller and solar panels. Nuclear power is needed to fill in gaps of low renewable energy production which happen often - see https://egpreston.com/storage.pdf . Remote wind and solar will require massive transmisison investments which can be avoided by locating a few nuclear plants strategically. I don't think these energy sources are going to make much impact: bio, tidal, geothermal, and carbon capture.
It is very difficult to predict with certainty what will be the energy of the future. Coal and oil are likely to be phased out, renewable energies will be used according to locally available resources. In the medium and long term, nuclear fusion is a hope for cleaner energy.
But all these alternatives, will generate conflicts with the demand of new resources, and perhaps with its overexploitation.
The condition of sustainability and non-exhaustion of resources should be the one in each stage that guides the set of energies to be used.
Technological improvements should help to make more efficient the generation of energy, and the consumption of it.
It's difficult to just and predict but in my opinion, environmentally energy should be develop.
It depends how you define "future". I am sure that there will be nuclear power and fossil fuels tomorrow and the day after as well. However, if we look into the distant future, let's say a hundred years from now there is no question that 100% of the energy supply has to rely on renewable resources. Biomass, solar, wind, hydro, geothermal etcetera will play a central role. There are some energy carriers/fuels that will have multiple roles besides being renewable. Biogas is such a fuel providing several additional benefits as a waste management tool (reduce the amount and stabilize differnt types of sludges), reduce smell, generate bio-fertilizer, reduce GHG emissions from traditional manure treatment etcetera.
The main problem for the future energy system will be to match intermittent power production (e.g. wind and solar power) with the demand. Short term and long term storage will be crucial for the success of such an energy system. Here biomethane may play a central role since it's possible to store large volumes in the (natural) gas grid. Already today excess power is used to produce methane. Gasification and methanation of feedstock rich in lignocellulose is an efficient way to convert solid biomass to a high quality fuel that can be stored and distributed through the gas grid and used in all applications developed for natural gas. In fact several contries are aiming for 100% renewable gas in the gas grid by 2050. Wind energy (a kind of solar energy; preferable to it as it does not require covering ground)
Technologies based on the original source - means on the Sun, and technologies based on civilization sources, dependent on the size of the Earth's population (waste) and technologies used by humans (water treatment).
For safety and economical terms, the future is envisaged to depend on renewable energies. However, the nuclear energy use in future may be considered if all its associated safety risks and uncertainties as well as financial hurdles are ironed out completely. This is possible if a good will to work on that challenge by all stakeholders will be cherished.

You cannot get 100% of your energy from just solar because we lack storage technology. A combination of solar and nuclear and storage can be made to work in simulations. The problem is that renewables frequently have long periods of low energy production. This leads to loss of load. The condition is worse for California than Texas. Why do you think solar has no waste? It has massive amounts of discarded solar panels after a few years. China is burning a lot of coal energy to make those panels.
Fusion energy will be the ultimate sustainable energy source in the future. Fusion will no be available for most countries. Here coal gasification combined power plants and nuclear energy are the only sources that can provide the large energy demands. Solar is of high entropy , therefore expensive and will remain so. It cannot supply the huge amounts of energy.

Solar,water and wind are important source of energy. We must have to develop new technology for better utilisation of these resources of energy.
There is also some great social impact of the energy technology. Energy shapes society; steam liberated the slaves and "enslaved" all small companies of the period. I am fearful of nuclear even if it is fission, because it brings us back to a centralized and scale economy model. I am an advocate of renewable technology and its distributed model. Truly, storage is a major issue. But it will be solved by human ingenuity.
In my opinion, I said before that not only renewable energy sources but special renewable energy sources - primary solar and civilization.

The global energy landscape is witnessing a rapid and disruptive change driven by an unprecedented growth in renewables. Last year alone, a record-breaking 168 GW of renewable energy capacity were added globally – the sixth consecutive year in which additions from renewables have exceeded those from conventional sources. Today, a quarter of the world’s electricity comes from renewables. But, the recent IPCC report has sent a clear signal and called for a scaling up of renewables both in the power and in end use sectors such as transport and buildings. This echoes IRENA’s own analysis which estimates that avoiding the worst effects of global warming will require to source 85% of global power and two-thirds of total energy supply from renewables by 2050. Around 60% of electricity would come from so called variable renewable energy (VRE) like solar and wind. Experiences from frontrunner countries show that flexibility in the power system can help integrating solar and wind into the market.
Flexibility can be found in different parts of the power system including generation, grid, storage and end-users.
With today’s report on Power system flexibility for the energy transition and a new tool to assess the flexibility of the power system – the FlexTool – IRENA opens a new work stream that support its members in finding the most cost-effective mix of flexibility solutions. The tool has been applied jointly with IRENA members Colombia, Panama, Uruguay and Thailand to assess the flexibility of their power system based on the latest national plans.

The energy of the future will be that which does not require a great technicality and therefore a great dependence on the manufacturing countries. The high-tech energies are nuclear, solar photovoltaic, hydrogen and geothermal. I imagine that the energy of the future will be bioethanol and biomethane from agricultural products when people no longer have excessive consumption of meat, sugar and alcohol.

Solar energy, water energy and wind energy are the best sources that do not cause pollution.
The important is a clever combination of different energies taking into account the geographical conditions and the necessities of the country. For instance the countries close to the Earth's equator can use mainly photovoltaic energy, while flat countries close to the stream wind currents could take as the main source the wind. I don't think a choise of only one kind is not the better because all of them hava vetages and disadventages. For example during the night the sunny energy cannot be charged.
Actually, it depends on the how much resources potential in the respective country and also the human resources about Future Energies.
In general, Solar Energy, WInd Energy, Bio-Energy, and Hydro-Energy (not too large dams) are our Future Energies.
Using genetic techniques develop new vegetables with high growing speed and high content of oils to be converted into biofuels.

From my humble point of view, the step of using vegetables for energy is not necessary. There are a lot of energy given directly from the Sun and the paradoxical fact is that the temperature of the planet is growing (i.e. excess of energy) but our technology is not able to transform it. It is true that the photosinthesis allows to reduce the CO2 and this implies a better atmosphere, but that is another different problem than the one of the energy.
Solar thermal devices replace existing conventional thermal devices like boilers,heater, furnaces and heat exchanger.

The types of energy that should be developed in the future are not merely related to the technological scaling-up and the environmental proactiveness towards sustainability, but they will be determined by the societal aspects of energy-driven issues, including: optical/visual/aesthetic nuisance (wind farms and rooftop PV installations), food vs. fuel debate (energy crops for biomass and biofuels -against agricultural-production), social cohesion among stakeholders of energy mixes, governmental policies driven to evolving standards of human wellness, as well as the wider familiarization of humans/energy-users to the growing commercial interest in energy-consuming commodities
Electric power is dangerous. But can we transport energy in another form ?
Although nuclear energy doesn't emit any greenhouse gases and contribute to global warming, it's not renewable and clean enough(nuclear waste). on the other hand, renewable sources are intermittent, and storage of them is challenging. The answer depends on how these challenges of each source would overcome in the future. In the near future( 100 years...) , I think all of them would exist and have their contribution.

All fossil fuels orginate also from the sun and are stored "renewables". However, it's not sustainable to continue to use neither fossil fuels or nuclear power. It's as simple as that. We have to move to a 100% renewable energy system sooner or later independent of climate change issues out the simple reason that there are limited amounts of fossil fuels and uranium available.

In my opinion, renewable energy sources should be developed on the basis of various pro-ecological technologies and ecological innovations. Which technological solutions will be developed in particular countries depends on many factors, ie determinants according to which individual countries differ in terms of production potential, development of specific industries, equipment in particular production factors and financial possibilities. Rich countries characterized by higher incomes should support the development of pro-ecological technologies in poorer countries characterized by lower incomes. International cooperation in this area should be resolved.
In view of the above, I would like to ask you: Should richer countries support poorer countries in the development of environment-friendly technologies?

In my opinion, in the future the most important proecological technologies that should be improved and implemented are renewable energy technologies based on solar energy. Solar power plants should be developed. Commercial banks should provide loans for these purposes. However, in order for commercial financing programs to develop, the role of the State as potentially the main subject of financing large pro-ecological energy projects is also important. Similarly with nuclear energy, which is so very expensive to build, that without financial support from state finances, it would often not be possible to build a nuclear power plant.
