What do you mean with "correlation between groups"? Something like a point-biserial correlation?

I think you are looking for a method like the Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA). With this method you will be able to test the hypothesis of whether the quantitative values of your variables can predict the two groups in which your data can be separated. Another common name for this technique is Discriminant Function Analysis (DFA).
