the answer of your question contain two parts as following:

(i) If you want to predict the value of a variable based on the value of five or more other independent variables, you could use Multiple Regression Analysis using SPSS Statistics!

(ii) to determine whether there are any differences between independent groups on one continuous dependent variable. you could use a one-way MANOVA.

The group is another separate variable. Does this mean that I have to construct 5x5 dummy variables which capture the interaction effect?

I thought that a MANOVA is only approriate when you have 2 or more dependent variables, in my case I only have one. 

the other variable has five levels as well and I am interested in the interaction between my group variable (five options) and all of the five independent variables as well
