Hello!
I'm currently doing some research in order to understand which statistical analyses I can use to analyze my data. I have different genotypes, and I work with ~10 plants for each one of them. I take plants as replicates and I count the amount of aborted seeds in their siliques (fruits). Since I count in 5 siliques from each plant, I understand I have to use mixed models, in order to inform that the 5 siliques from each plant are not independent. From my research, I think I get that my data follows a binomial distribution, since the idea is to report percentages or proportions (we count aborted seeds/total seeds per silique). I was wondering if anyone could shed some light in this matter and make any suggestions, all recommendations are very much apreciatted! I use Rstudio.
