I have recorded the pigmentation sum of drosophila kikkawai at 3 different altitudes and in each altitude i have analysed the pigmentation sum at seven different temperatures. i wanted to all know the statistical test that would be best suited to analyse my data and establish a relationship between pigmentation sum,altitude and temperature and whether there exist a significant relationship between them.
Dear Anami, you can perform a covariance analysis with temperature as covariate and altitude as fixed effect. By applying covariance you find out two important points. 1- analyse the interaction effect of altitude and temp on your dependent variable (DV), and 2- find out that the effects are linear or not.
