Yes it would be better to provide details of your study. However, you may use chi-square for associational analysis and logistic regression for predication and modelling purposes.

Having said that, if your dependent variable is binary in nature, you may use binary Logit or probit model. For instance " Assessing factors influencing farmer's participation in development group" where one participates I.e. Yes (1) or otherwise I.e. No (0). Alternatively, if your dependent variable is continuous in nature I.e. land size in acres, you may use a multiple linear regression.
