Hello everyone, I'm currenly on my thesis process and I'm on the process of analyzing the data. The data were collected from two sectors of a fild with animals infected by a virus wich is the data I'm using as a control sample and other tree tipes of samples colected from possible routes of contagion. In total I have four categories (112 samples in total), in the mayority of the categories I have at least 10 samples except in one with 6 samples.
I'm not sure on which stadistic analysis to use to comper this data. I've been told to use Chi-Square, Fisher, ANOVA or Krustall-Wallis test, but I'm nos quite sure wich one is more accurated to be used
ANOVA with post-hoc analysis would be the first choice from my list.

First, the control virus is only a control if all candidates possess it; otherwise it is a treatment. And you also need to state if there is replication. Then you must analyse the data to determine if there is a normal distribution. If so, you can use ANOVA with post hoc tests, as mentioned by D. Eastern Kang Sim (one-way ANOVA works with uneven sample sizes). If not, analyse using non-parametric tests, such as Kruskal-Wallis (KW), which also does not require equal sample sizes. You can also do post hoc tests with KW :)
A one_way analysis of variance(ANOVA) is used when you have a categorical independant variabl (with two or more categories) and a normally distributed.
