Which sources you would suggest for finding any sort of unpublished research articles (e.g., pre-prints, rejected manuscripts, articles from grey-area, dissertations) in order to include in a meta-analysis that is related to psychotherapy process and outcome?

I would also recommend the different clinical trials registries
1. World Health Organization International Clinical Trials Registry Platform (ICTRP) apps.who.int/trialsearch
2. ClinicalTrials.gov www.clinicaltrials.gov
3. ISRCTN registry www.isrctn.com
- ProQuest (proquest.com) for unpublished dissertations/theses;
- bioRxiv, medRxiv and other preprint databases for all work that is not timely (but not peer-reviewed yet);
- Google Scholar because of the broad, extensive search it allows.
It is also ok to email researchers/groups that you know are very active in the field you are reviewing to ask if they have any unpublished data that could fit the scope of your meta-analysis.

" Colleagues can be an important source of information about unpublished studies, and informal channels of communication can sometimes be the only means of identifying unpublished data. Formal letters of request for information can also be used to identify completed but unpublished studies. One way of doing this is to send a comprehensive list of relevant articles along with the inclusion criteria for the review to the first author of reports of included studies, asking if they know of any additional studies (published or unpublished) that might be relevant. It may also be desirable to send the same letter to experts or others with an interest in the area, either individually or through mailing lists."
