What is the best finite element modeling software packages for modeling non-linear and fracture analysis of CONCRETE? I've had some with ABAQUS standart/explicit, but I would like to learn if there is a better software for non-linear behaviour and fracture mechanics of concrete according to your experiences.

One of the best software that accurately models the behavior of concrete and is ideal for nonlinear analysis is Perform 3D software. or Ls-Dyna and Ansys workbench can be used.

In LS-Dyna there are several various concrete models available, among them the most frequently used in the literature are:
-very popular and widely known Johnson-Holmquist Concrete (MAT_111);
-Karagozian & Case (K&C) Concrete Model ( *MAT_072r3 ) which is very user-friendly because you can use the option to automatically generate the model parameters based on the unconfined compression strength;
-The Winfrith concrete model (MAT_084) has very nice option to show the cracks in the concrete and to generate a database containing crack parameters.
There are also algorithms that allow you to easily model reinforcements e.g. *Constrained_beam_in_solid.
