Develop a comprehensive finite element–based three-dimensional (3D) heat transfer model, to predict transient temperature distribution, if the materials were welded by FSW Process. The model should consider temperature-dependent material properties.
A dedicated heat source model using sliding and sticking conditions of friction will be incorporated through the user subroutine of commercially available software ABAQUS.
The similar type of work is done in " Heat transfer analyses in friction stir welding of aluminum alloy" Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers Part B Journal of Engineering Manufacture 229(10)
I think best is ANSYS package. ANSYS using SOLID 70 elements could be useful. A View of temperature maps, welding temperature as a function of welding time can be easily analyzed using ANSYS model.
thank you all, i started to use ABAQUS but i cant understand the coupled eulerian lagrangian method. Can you help me to Know how it be done by ABAQUS? Balendra Vir Singh Chauhan Tohid Jahangirpoor
