I need to solve a thermo-mechanical problem where I need to analyse the stresses produced in the material over large range of temperature, temperature + mechanical loads. Which software should I use for such problem?

Dear Charul Chadha I believe that both ABAQUS and COMSOL software are able to solve thermo-mechanical problems. In some cases COMSOL is recommended while in other ABAQUS is more appropriate. The choice of one of these software depends on the type of analysis to be performed and especially on your mastery of the software.Personally I use ABAQUS to perform thermo-mechanical analysis.

Abaqus, Comsol, Ansys and much more software packages are possible. It depends on the complexity of your problem to be solved and the corresponding capabilities of the software. From my point of view, there is no general solution.
