I have a some frozen brain samples from PD patients and control. These regions are Frontal, Temporal, Parietal, Occipital and Cerebellum. Can anyone tell me which region of these would be more suitable to study the difference between the PD and control samples. Mainly I will be carrying out ELISA, western blot.
It also depends of the heterogeneity of you patient group. Best would be to try to get the clinical stage and check Braak et al. 2003 for the more meaningful material.

The brain is affected by PD in several parts- mostly substancia nigra is affected.
The neurons starts dying there. As a result several disorders starts arising. Just see the list of common symptoms. Just see some of my papers on PD below

I am trying to measure the a-syn in different region by comparing with the control samples. I have not though about correlating with the clinical features though. I think that will also provide some insight into the disease progression.

As you know alpha-synuclein is a protein which is aggregated in the brain of PD in several parts- especially substantia nigra.
I strongly agree with Nicolas Luigi Pascal Casadei, which said: It is depends of the stages of disease of your patient.
First, you have to check the clinical stages of your patient according to Braak models of spreading, Braak et al. 2003. It would be so useful.
Then check the Kelvin C. Luk et al, articles which has been carried out on the pathological spreading of alpha synulein in mice which has been published in Science 2012 and Journal of Experimental Materials in 2012 and Masami Masuda-Suzukake et al, which has been published in Brain 2013 and Patrik Brundin et al, 2010 as follow.
