I want to detect GFP fluorescence in 96-well plate. We have 2 type plate. One is black plate (corning, Cat No:3603) and the other is white plate (corning, Cat No:3610). Could you help me which one is better? Thank you so much.
It really doesn't matter, either plate will work fine. I have studied this extensively and in theory it depends on the fluor and the sensitivity of the plate reader. In actual lab work, once you start measuring fluors near the LOD, the high deviation just between the wells makes the different colored plates irrelevant.
