We know that vapour pressure difference causes water to evaporate into the surrounding air stream. But there is something called molar concentration (kmol/m3).This molar concentration difference will  cause diffusion of water vapour from higher concentration to lower concentration i.e from pool of water to air stream.

My question is "how can one single phenomenon have two different explanations"?(vapour pressure difference and molar concentration difference).
