How to measure the viscosity of liquids having viscosity less than 1cP. Is glass capillary viscometer sufficient to measure viscosity of such fluids?.
It depends on the capability of your available viscometer. Also, you need to consider whether your fluid is a Newtonian or a non-Newtonian fluid.
TC viscometers can be used to measure the liquids having viscosity less than 1 cP.
@Jeryrajkumar I would not use a Brookfield TC viscometer for viscosities below 1cP. Do you have examples of their reliability in this range?
@Ernest Liquids with viscosities below 1cP are almost certainly Newtonian, so shear rate dependence should not be a problem. Therefore an appropriate glass capillary viscometer is the best choice in my opinion. You get the most accurate results, but the measurements are hard work.
