Hello,
I fabricated mesoporous carbon nitride(MCN) and tested it for photocatalytic hydrogen generation.
then, I deposited cobalt on MCN according to the following procedure and got activity test. the result did not show any improvement and even it decreased.
I synthesized CoO from cobalt acetate and got activity test and the result was almost as the same as MCN.
which parameters is important when we want to deposit metal on our base material?
Procedure for deposition of cobalt on MCN
0.10 g of MCN powder was dispersed in 50 mL of ethanol, followed by the addition of a suitable amount of cobalt acetate. Then the solution was stirred overnight. After that the prepared solution was dried in an oven at 60 °C for 2 h( before drying, the solution was kept 6 h without stirring for aging). Finally, the dried powder was sintered at 300 °C for 2 h with a heating rate of 10 °C/min in vacuum and cooled naturally to room temperature.
