I would like to perform a xenograft experiment with HCT116 cells on immune compromised mice. I was wondering which mouse strain would be best suited for such an experiment?
As Md Wasim Khan said, Nu atimic mice are the most commonly used for HCT116 xenografts. However, NSG mice also are been used ( Article In vivo anticancer activity of a rhodium metalloinsertor in ...
) . Probably you need to know what level of immune compromised mice you will require for your experiments. Also, the majority of human tumor cell lines grow faster in NSG mice.
