Can you suggest/recommend any method(s)/model(s) for carbon sequestration comparatively at a large area (at country/national level) for all pools such as Above ground, Below ground, Soil, Litter and Deadwood etc. What input data would be required for that method/model?
The purpose is to know the annual change in carbon sequestration in these pools for 5 or 10 years.

Kenneth M Towe, yes you are right. The objective is to know the services of the nature (ecosystem services). Carbon is sequestered in different pools and need to know the quantity, values and trend in different pools over time and space.

Arshad, there are two ways by which u can determine the carbon sequestration, the destructive method where we determine by cutting trees and the non - destructive method where the modern tools and technologies are used. As the first one is not environmental friendly, we adopt the second method. I have done such works with mobile applications in Sacred groves of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, for small acres of land. I am not sure how far it will be helpful for you.

If I understood well, you may want to make a calculation of the carbon sequestration capacity. Please note that IPCC (http://www.ipcc.ch/) has described procedures to do it, with a huge list of scientific references additionally given therein. Look there, you will find what you need.
