i'm trying to measure lipoxygenase activity in plant samples using the method described by Doderer & al, 1991. in this article they prepared the substrate solution as following :

" the substrate solution was prepared by adding 35 µl linoleic acid to 5 ml bidistiled water containing 50 µl Tween 20. The solution was kept at pH 9.0 by adding 0.2 M NaOH until all the linoleic acid was dissolved and the pH remained stable. After adjusting the pH to 6.5 by adding 0.2 M HCI, 0.1 M phosphate buffer (pH 6.5) was added to a total vol. of 100 ml "

I have linoleic acid 70% (GC) and since there is other products with diffrent percentages and they didn't mention which on they used here, i wanna know if i should just follow the same protocol using the same quantitis.
