I have used many platforms but my favorites are Canvas (user friendly and offer a free trial) and Blackboard (lots of HigherEd experience). I like also a free one called Moodle, but I guess you will need an experienced IT people to put it to work.

You Tube is not a bad choice. Khan Academy built up a good platform there. Open spaces can make no harm. It is always better to share than to create closed paradises

I am using Moodle platform since 2012. Now we are using that platform for meetings and for Online lectures at all institutional levels. It works.

I am using zoom app. It is very friendly and effective tool for virtual class.

I think from my point of View, and based on the reports concern LMS. Blackboard is the best on.

Desarrollar contenido aducativo para alojarlo en una plataforma requiere mucho tiempo y recursos. Además, tienes que crear los usuarios para los maestros y estudiantes, capacitarlos previamente en el uso de la plataforma, entre otros.

En lo inmediato, lo esencial es utilizar un canal de comunicación directa donde el maestro pueda presentar la clase en vivo y asignar las tareas a los estudiantes. Por ende, las plataformas que permiten realizar videoconferencias son idóneas en tal sentido. Son amigables, no es necesario disponer de material didáctico más que una presentación powerpoint, por ejemplo, las personas crean su propio usuario, pueden acceder desde sus teléfonos inteligentes y no requieren demasiado conocimiento para usarlo por primera vez.

No puedo dejar de mencionar que tenemos resultados satisfactorios usando las videoconferencias para el teletrabajo. Algunas herramientas que pueden ser útiles:

I think MS Team has more security, but it needs a company account to use it. Alternately, Zoom has been used by many as I have shared with others.

It really just depends on your resources, security requirements, and the size of the classes/institution. I have used both Blackboard and Moodle (currently). Both were very effective and easy to learn. Both have different ways of doing things, so you just have to get used to them by using them. "Free" variants of group meetings may not deliver either the required security for graded work or the options for much of the desired assignments. If you just need a quick way to hole the class together for discussions, those may be fine. I long-term solution would best be obtained through something specific and formalized like the Moodle system.

For online learning google class room is used.

Zoom is the best platform for online learning.

Virtually it is good one and most of colleges are encouraging to schedule the classes using Zoom.

Mooc is also best online learning system especially for engineering students.

It depends in what you really need and of course the budget. If you are looking for something free, google classroom, Skype or zoom are a good option.

If you want something more specific, go for webex meeting or webex learning. And if you need something more robust, somewhere to group everything - moocs, videos, pdfs, scorms, online courses and ILT, and also the chance to have reports of the activity, go for a full LMS suite like Cornerstone or Workday. These are what big companies use to teach their employees

The question is a bit broad. In my belief, the use and implementation of an LMS depend on the culture of the institution (what they are familiarized with,, e.g. Google such as GSuite, Microsoft such as LMS365, Moodle, etc), financial capacity (free LMS's vs paid LMS's), profile (are teachers and members adaptable to a complex system, or they just rather need a simple which they can easily use).

I have implemented a system called DOTS in 20010 and found it to be dynamic and responsive in its self-authoring function and records management. I reached many by emailing a URL to a specific course and I also set up personal logins for staff (students) who would be regular users.
