I am a final year UG student, this semester we need to do design project. But we have learnt only member design in our curriculum, so I am looking for a structure by designing that we can get a clear idea about structural engineering and also we should get some new learnings out of that.

This is a reasonable and sensible proposal as well. But it is not feasible if it is generally regarded as desirable. The structure of an inquiry - I take the term as John Dewey saw this in his "Logic. Theory of Inquiry" 80 years ago - depends on the problem area to be investigated. The next step would therefore be to sketch out the problem areas that are to be processed.
Involve those closest to the problem to describe it for starters and then outwards to those impacted by it further away in order to understand it from a practical standpoint.

What is the current driving needs and problems in your society? Dig the literature and carry out some preliminary investigations to find out. This would furnish you with the need or problem that is most perplexing in your society. Climate change and environmental sustainability are general global problems and we need sustainable models to remedy them. Design a sustainable structure that is aimed at addressing the identified problem in both short and long term. Kind regards
The social problems can be solved when victims are engaged. I recommend that you ground your research on critical theory.
