Dear colleagues,
I would like to compare several vegetation indices (e.g., NDVI, SAVI, EVI, etc.) with the photosynthetically active vegetation sub-pixel fraction derived from spectral mixture analysis (SMA). Which is the best way of to do the comparison, by means Pearson's correlation or Spearman.

Luan Peroni Venancio For linear relationship, Pearson's coefficient is better than Spearman. Spearman correlation is often used to evaluate relationships involving ordinal variables. Check this link.

You can also seek an appropriate vegetation index for you application at https://www.indexdatabase.de/
NDVI is the best method to compare vegetation and easy to do. This method is most commonly used and second is EVI.
If you have multiple factors, they must all be compared with each other at the same time using glm, anova or permanova
You can use ANOVA to identify the significant difference.
