I believe that the software done by Angilier for computing the resolved shear stresses , the orientations and magnitudes of paleostresses is the best in this field and more widely spread than others
To a first approximation of stress tensor and and to separate stresses from heterogeneous fault-slip data, you can use the y-R diagram, with the advantage to be a graphical method based in OpenOffice (free software)
The T - TECTO software free of charge and you can send mail to the provider, ask him about the password and in a few days he will send you the file of registration
I am working since few years on the TENSOR programe of Delvaux, it is good. But I want to get another one like T-TECTO or FaultKin or FSA. I sent a message to some source authors but without answer till now
