In fact, I work on plant science (roots more specifically) I cultivate plants on glass boxes and i scan them to obtain root images. These boxes are irrigated permanently which causes the flow of the chemicals contained in the glass. The roots are very sensitive to these chemical compounds, it causes necrosis and cell death, that's why I am looking for some permanent agents that can not be washed by the water flow and make the glass hydrophobic.
