Hi,

We are trying to measure the concentration of lactic acid present in the cervicovaginal samples of pig-tail macaques. Samples were obtained by swabbing the vaginal and cervical tracts. (Samples since then have been frozen and heat-shocked at 65 degree Celsius)

We are looking for a way to quantitatively draw comparisons between swabs while accounting for differences in swab size or swab technique.

What internal standard (such as known bacteria concentrarion or known biomolecule concentration) is consistent across the pigtailed macaque microbiome for us to set?

Thanks for your help
