I had a problem with microtome sectioning. The sections are floating off from the surface while staining. I found that, it is a problem of ovalbumin. So please suggest which grade of ovalbumin to use for good results. Please tell me the working ovalbumin preparation also.

I was using glycrine and egg albumin 1: 1 and it was waorking good. Do not put too much on the slide because if so the albumin will be stained as well and you have to clean it around your tissue. Good luck

Mayer` Albumine is very useful for histology. This solution contains egg albumine, glycerine (1:1, albumine:glycerine) and few thymol or phenol crystals (for preservation). The slides must be ``visible`` greased and then, your sections will remain on slide.
