Which β-Galactosidase Staining Kit works great to study cell senescence? BTW, I am working on floating leukemia cells. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I would not waste the money buying a kit, but rather buy the reagents separately. If you require a protocol I would be happy to send you one. You will have to adapt it for floating cells. You will of course require additional markers to confirm senescence as SA-beta_Gal alone is insufficient.
If you're still interested in a commercial kit, the one from Cell Signalling (Cat. no. 9860) is widely used in the literature, and it's worked in my hands before. Whether it works in suspension cells I don't know though. Good luck!
