Hi,
I would like to disinfect eDNA sampling equipment using bleach tablets. According to my internet search a 3-5 % (30000-50000 ppm) sodium hypochlorite NaOCl solution is adequate for DNA decontamination. However, the tablets I have found would yield bleach of a far too low concentration or too little amounts of bleach.
Can anyone recommend NaOCl bleach tablets for eDNA decontamination with a volumne allowing for multiple sampling while traveling? I do need to disinfect flexible water tanks holding a couple of liters, so I would also need to be able to produce relatively big amounts of bleach.
Thank you and best regards,
Janis
