Specific research objectives were to:

 

1. Examine the impact of owner-manager control on the employees’ affective commitment

2. Investigate the relationship quality the owner-manager and the employees.

3.Examine the conditions under which type of owner-manager control is related to an increase/ decrease of employee's affective commitment.

 

By concentrating on the relationship with owner-manager of the business, this study will try to predict employees’ affective commitment. Employees that perceive a supportive organization and high quality of relationship with the owner-manager may feel an obligation to pay something back.
