Which boundary condition should be used if vetical direction of unit cell is non periodic,but horizontal is periodic in COMSOl.

The unit cell is periodic in x and y direction.So i can easily use the periodic boundary condition in Comsol.But the vertical direction(z) in not periodic.which boundary condition can i use.And wht will be the value of Kz.
